What happens to my file

Where the sketch lives, how to keep a copy, and what is stored beside it.

Drawn once, then stored

Your sketch is a file. It was drawn once, when your order went through, and stored. The page behind your delivery link shows that stored file, the same one every time.

Phate never redraws a delivered sketch. If the drawing service changed its model, a new drawing from the same brief would come back with a different face, so the file is kept as it was and is never drawn again. The stored file is the guarantee.

Yours for good

The page is yours for good. It needs no sign in and no live subscription: if you cancel, the sketch, the written reading and every note you have had stay where they are.

The link in your delivery email opens your reading with no sign in, and anyone who has it can open the page; we can revoke it and issue a new one if you ask. Signing in to your account with the address on the order opens the same reading, and revoking the link does not close the account. Keep the email that carries it. There is more on this in what the delivery link is.

Keeping a copy

Under the sketch on your reading page is a link that says Save the sketch. It saves the file to your device, as many times as you like. It is worth doing once: a copy on your own device needs no link and no site.

What is stored beside it

Phate does not keep a chart object. Your reading keeps the placements and the wheel the drawing was made from. The brief and the written reading are stored with them, which is how the page can say where each line came from.

The weekly notes are kept on the weekly note page of your reading, behind the same link. Every note written for you is there.

Deleting

Deletion is on request: use the delete control in your account, or ask there with the address on your order, and a confirmation link comes to that address. Writing to the contact address works too. Deleting your birth details and your answers ends the weekly note, because each note is cast from them. The file and the written reading, which quotes your answers, stay until you ask for them to go too, so tick the box, or say so in the same message, if you want them gone. The privacy notice has the full path.
